Hello, friend. Starseed Seeker is my little corner of the internet dedicated to anyone who identifies as a starseed or is curious about what that means. Here is a lengthy “blurb” on the author – me. I hope you find a bit of background information useful as we embark on this galactic journey together.
Early Beginnings
I initially started this blog about 5-8 years ago from the time of writing. My best friend (a well known spiritual coach and self-professed starseed) and I came across the starseed movement in the mid-late 2010’s. From what I recall, we came across it accidentally from reading something on the internet (although, is anything really accidental?). At that time, we both found the concept of souls incarnating from other star systems on Earth fascinating. My best friend has always been heavily spiritual, so she took this idea in hand and expanded it into her daily practices and business models. She is currently still practicing her spirituality, respects her starseed origins and appears to be very aligned with her life.
On the other hand, in spite of all my spiritual practices, I took a significantly different route. Whilst my best friend lived and breathed spirituality, I shied away from it due to life distractions and personal challenges. I strongly leaned into realism and abandoned anything related to starseeds or metaphysical concepts. As many people would understand, when you are in survival mode, your only wish is to overcome the next hurdle. Questions about your existence, spirituality and the meaning of life seem quite irrelevant. As a result, the first blog I had fizzled out, and although I had a few minor starts over the years, I never focused my attention on it.
Consequently, this inner blockage served me very well for many years. I was able to successfully graduate from a prestigious medical school, at the same time overcoming most of the aforementioned personal challenges. Now in my early thirties, I am at on the cusp of a decade of financial and personal stability. I have the privilege to, once again, invite the seeds of spirituality back into my life. Feeling inspired, I, therefore, started this blog again.
What Inspired Me
So, why starseeds then? Something that has been drilled into me for over a decade as a doctor is the concept of professionalism. When you present people with a concept, if you package it in a way that is clear to understand, answer their questions and remove unnecessary distraction, they are more open to it. I have had to give diagnoses to patients they would not believe, often with no evidence they can understand (e.g. obscure clinical testing, x-rays a lay-person cannot read). Patients have had to take my word for it, and they did because of the aforementioned package of professionalism.
As a result, I thought I would apply this same package of professionalism to the starseed movement. The idea of this blog is to be factual, approaching starseeds similarly to how a scholar may study a religion. Most, if not all, religions are not based in fact. However, due to their package of professionalism (i.e. the consistent clothing of spiritual leaders, architecture of places of worship, religious traditions etc.) they are widely accepted, practiced and studied. Why can’t the starseed movement be the same? Why could I not be a scholar on starseeds?
Today and Beyond
Therefore, I hope you enjoy my blog – an amateur starseed encyclopaedia by a self-appointed scholar of starseeds. The information on this blog is obtained through online research from other channellers (people who receive information from “above” via meditation), as well as writing about what resonates with me through my own meditations. At this stage, the name I am using belongs to my grandmother as an alias. I am currently practicing as a doctor IRL, and I wish to keep my two “professions” separate. Not everyone is ready to join the starseed movement, nor do they need to or should they. This information will find whoever it needs to, and I will greatly enjoy writing it.
